THE LANSDOWNE COLLECTOR

The Magazine of the Lansdowne Collectors' Club

"The Lansdowne Collector" is the magazine of the Lansdowne Collectors Club, and as such is only available to Lansdowne Collectors' Club Members.

It is issued four times a year, in January, April, July, and October. The magazine is a mine of information on all things which are Lansdowne (or Robeddie Models) related, and is a indispensable part of anyone's library who is interested in the small scale versions of the full size classics.

The latest issue (September - November 2008) of "The Lansdowne Collector" has just been published.

Issue No. 37, is the first issue for year 10, so the club has now entered the milestone year which sees the 10th Anniversary of the club. The latest magazine includes reviews, by our regular contributors, Dave Turner and Carl Richardson, on the Lansdowne Models 1956 Ford Consul Convertible, 1935 Triumph Gloria, and the 1949 Humber Super Snipe. Dave also reviews, from the Brooklin range, the '33 Stutz DV-32 Victoria, the '52 Cadillac 62 Sedan, and the '35 Nash Ambassador Eight, plus the Code 2 Morris Minor MM from Studio Tenn Models (aka Roger Tennyson , formerly of Crossway Models) on his . Editor, Bob Timmis, offers his opinions on the Factory Special Hudson Hornet two tone, and a member review of the recently issued Code 2 1961 Austin Westminster. Bob Timmis also reviews the Robeddie Volvo PV52 Pick-up. Mike Coupe contributes his usual Lansdowne Popularity Sales Chart, this time for the third quarter of 2008, plus the overall chart for the year. As usual, the magazine is full of coloured photographs illustrating the articles, and much more.

The Collectors Club Model for 2008 is now available; the Lagonda 2.6 Convertible with the hood in closed position, colour yellow, with pale beige interior, and a darker beige hood. As usual, the models mark of authenticity will be the numbered certificate, plus an illustrated box end; without them, the model may not be genuine.
